The role of the
Clinician is to provide behavioral health services, as well as monitor and document clients' mental well-being and overall adjustment to the program. The Clinician's functions are performed as part of a multi-disciplinary team and include development and implementation of client service plans, crisis intervention, and reunification planning.
Essential Functions:- Conduct intakes upon admission, clinical assessments, and crisis interventions
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members and clients to develop service plans
- Provide one-to-one counseling sessions weekly
- Conduct group counseling sessions weekly
- Continually monitor the mental well-being of clients and arrange for appropriate services as needed
- Provide consultation and documentation regarding clients' functioning, mental health status, and treatment needs
- Provide clinical services within licensing and funding source guidelines
- Conduct clinical assessments
- Conduct and document client assessments in accordance with ORR policies and procedures
- Report significant incidents within accordance with ORR policies and procedures
- Works closely with case manager and care coordinators to ensure proper communication
- Attend all required training
- Attend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or information about policy changes or practice is adhered to
- Must assist in the evacuation of clients as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work area
- Always ensure supervision of clients
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office products
- Ability to utilize evidence-based practice
- Encompass cases holistically to create individualized service plans and related techniques and interventions
- Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
- Required to work a flexible schedule to facilitate program needs
- Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365
Education and Experience:- Master's degree in social work with clinical experience in the program or master's degree in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science
- Willing to accept a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years clinical experience in lieu of a Master's degree
- One year of postgraduate direct service delivery experience, preferred
- Licensed or license eligible in respective field (to include but not limited to: LPC, LMSW, LMFT)
- Must be able stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps and lift up-to to 15lbs
- At least 6 months of ORR experience, preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish, desired
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
